We are talking to Northern about putting on a special ride for cyclists wanting to participate in the Tour De France Yorkshire 2014. Details are sketchy at the moment – but the idea will be to allow cyclists to ride the route when it is announced and make their way back to the start point by train. Current plans envisage using regular service trains to get cyclists to the starting point and using a van to transport cycles.

This may or may not be part of the official “Etape”.  Northern will look at it if we can get 50 people to express an interest  – there is no commitment on either part at this stage.
